Aunt Mary’s House on the Farm
Every family has a special place that lives in their hearts. For our family, that place has always been Aunt Mary’s House on the Farm.
Even today, years after Aunt Mary passed away, that is still what we call it.
Grandpa Paul, Archie, and Aunt Mary lived and worked on the farm. Archie worked the farm alongside Grandpa Paul and Aunt Mary.
Our parents and many of us grandchildren spent a great deal of time there while growing up. The farm was a place for family gatherings, shared meals, laughter, childhood adventures, and stories that are still remembered today.
Around the house were the barns, sheds, meat house, gardens, fields, and fishing ponds.
Our family loved to fish, and many days were spent around the fishing ponds with parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Sometimes the fish were biting, and sometimes they were not, but the time spent together was always treasured.
For our family, it was more than a farm.
It was where generations came together and where many of our happiest childhood memories were made.
